Recruitment and Retention Program to Enhance Diversity

The goal of the Diversity Program is to increase the diversity of participants in systems biology studies and foster training of a diverse research workforce in biomedical research.

Mentoring Program for Undergraduates

The purpose of the mentoring program is for Center investigators to meet with minority undergraduates and provide educational guidance and career advising. The aim is to increase minority student recruitment and retention in the biomedical sciences, including systems biology.

Research Programs

Center labs will host underrepresented minority students who are participating in University of Chicago summer research programs.

Offerings include the following:

• Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
• Office of Graduate Affairs, The University of Chicago, Research Internships & Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)
• Young Scientist Training Program (YSTP)
• Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP)
